The
Retiree Club
An organization of Perkin-Elmer retirees and other former employees

A Call for New Members ... and You Can Help!
Eighteen years ago when The Retiree Club was created, 850 former Perkin-Elmer employees became charter members. Despite the fact that Perkin-Elmer no longer exists and many members have passed on, our membership continues at about 800. How do we do it? Mostly through word of mouth. And that’s where you come in. It’s surprising how many retirees or former employees never got the word and don’t know about us. Rarely a week goes by that Bill Morlock, long-time Membership Chairman, doesn’t receive a membership application request or a check. For $5.00 a year, how can anyone go wrong?
How can you help?
Next time you run into former Perkin-Elmer employees, ask them if
they are aware of the Retiree Club. They may respond “I didn’t
retire from the Company.” Tell them that it
doesn’t matter, they can join anyway. We’ll bet that many who left
the company after the early 1990s don’t know about us. Also, we’re
sure you have email addresses of some former employees. We ask that
you recruit new members that way, too. Employees who retired from
Applera and Applied Biosystems are also eligible for membership. |
